Selling on Amazon is already a game-changer, but what if you could lower your costs, boost your brand’s visibility, and get free perks just for starting out? Sounds like a win, right? That’s exactly what Amazon Seller Incentives are designed to do.

Whether you’re a new seller looking to launch your first store or an existing seller planning some international expansion, Amazon has rolled out a variety of incentives to make your journey smoother.

Amazon new seller incentive

From discounted fees and free fulfillment to advertising credits and referral bonuses, these incentives can give you an edge in an increasingly competitive marketplace.

But here’s the catch—many sellers either don’t know these perks exist or don’t use them to their full advantage. That’s where this guide comes in. We’ll walk you through how to qualify, what’s currently available (especially in the U.S.), and how to make the most of these benefits so you can scale your Amazon business with fewer headaches and more profit.

Let’s dive in!

What are Amazon Seller Incentives?

Amazon Seller Incentives are financial and operational perks for sellers that are meant to get them to start or grow their business on Amazon. If you’re exploring opportunities to sell used books on Amazon, these incentives can also help reduce costs and improve your margins as you scale your business. These rewards come in many forms, such as lower fees, advertising credits, better fulfilment, and extra payments for sellers who are registered with a brand.

Most of these incentives are for new sellers, but current sellers may also be able to use them if they register themselves to a new marketplace.

Why you shouldn’t miss out on using Amazon seller incentives: Key Benefits

Let’s talk about the benefits of Amazon seller incentives and find out how to make the most out of this.

1. Brand representatives

You can get these benefits as a new seller if you register your brand within six months of listing your first item for sale and are the first seller with a Brand Representative role given to an Amazon Brand Registry brand:

Brand Referral Bonus for a fresh start

Experience a 10% bonus on your first $50,000 in eligible branded sales. Eligible brand sales include those sales that come from products that are enrolled in the Amazon brand registry, occur after enrolling in the new incentive program and are completed and not hung up on return or refund.

You will then get a 5% bonus on your next $950,000 in eligible branded sales, up to $52,500 in bonus value, or until you are no longer eligible, whichever comes first.

Vine Credit

You will also secure $200 worth of points for Amazon Vine. Vine asks the most trusted reviewers in the Amazon store to write about new goods so that other customers can make smart choices about what to buy. Sellers who are taking part can give these reviewers free units of their goods. If you need help managing the process, our Amazon Vine management program can handle enrollment and review strategy for you.

If you want to get Vine credits, you must also enrol in Vine within 90 days of becoming qualified for brand benefits (the later of when you finished Brand Registry enrolment and list your first offer). This includes filling out the brand registry. Credits that aren’t used will disappear after one year.

2. Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) benefits

A lot of good things happen for new sellers whose first Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) shipment arrives at an Amazon fulfilment centre within 90 days of offering their item for sale. Some of these are:

Inventory shipping fee credit

When you use the Amazon Partnered Carrier Program, which connects you with established logistics companies for shipping your inventory to Amazon fulfillment centers, you can receive up to $100 back as a reimbursement toward your shipping costs. Additionally, if you use Amazon Global Logistics to ship your products internationally to Amazon’s warehouses, you can get up to $200 back on your delivery fees.

Auto-enrollment in FBA New Selection

New-to-FBA ASINs that qualify are automatically added to FBA New Selections, which offers free monthly storage, liquidations, and returns handling for up-to 90 days.

Navigate to the “ASIN Eligibility” section in FBA New Selection to find out which ASINs are eligible.

New sellers can additionally also benefit from:

Reduced FBA inbound placing service fee

For every $400 in credits, the FBA inbound placing service fee can be cut down. Reduced Fees for large bulky-size products is also effective January 15, 2025, where inbound placement service fees for large bulky-size products will be reduced by an average of $0.58 per unit for minimal shipment splits.

Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment (MCF) perks

You can get 10% off the fulfilment fees for the first 100 items you ship through Amazon Multi-Channel Fulfilment. This lets sellers use their FBA inventory to fill orders from places other than Amazon, like direct-to-consumer (DTC) sites, online marketplaces, and social media shops.

No Storage Utilisation fee

For the first 365 days after the first FBA inventory receipt date, there is no storage utilisation fee.

For the first 365 days after their first FBA inventory receipt date, all new Professional sellers will not have to pay the low-inventory level fee.

Once the first package arrives at the fulfilment centre, credits will be given out. These credits can be used to waive future fees. The points might not show up in your account for at least 10 days. On the New Seller Incentives page, you can see how much credit you have. Credits that aren’t used disappear after one year.

3. Amazon advertising benefits

If a new seller uses Sponsored Products and Amazon coupons within 90 days of selling their item, they can get the following:

For using Sponsored Products, you can get $50 worth of advertising clicks. You can quickly make Amazon ads that show up in related search results and on product pages to help people find your goods. As voice commerce continues to grow through Alexa devices, optimizing for Amazon voice SEO becomes increasingly important for new sellers to capture conversational search queries that complement traditional Sponsored Products campaigns and maximize the value of these advertising credits. For Sponsored Products, there may be extra rules and restrictions.

You will also get $50 worth of coupons credits. With coupons, you can make sales that are more appealing to customers in the Amazon shop.
If you’re targeting grocery buyers, pairing these coupons with Amazon Fresh Weekly Ads can further boost visibility for your products in high-intent shopping categories.

If the perks sound exciting, the next big question is: how do you actually access these incentives? Here’s a quick breakdown.

  • $100 on shipping using Partnered Carrier

Can Current Amazon Sellers Take Advantage of New Seller Incentives?

If you’re an existing seller wondering whether you can still find your way into Amazon’s New Seller Incentives, the answer depends on your specific situation.

Amazon sellers can access New Seller Incentives only when launching in a new international marketplace where they haven’t sold before. For instance, if you’re currently selling on Amazon India and decide to start selling on Amazon Germany, you may be eligible for these incentives in the German marketplace.

However, if you’re already selling in a particular marketplace, you won’t qualify for New Seller Incentives in that same region.

To determine your eligibility and explore available incentives, log in to your Amazon Seller Central account and navigate to the New Seller Incentives dashboard.

Who Doesn’t Qualify?

Sellers with an active Amazon account who are already listing and selling products on the platform do not qualify for New Seller Incentives. These perks are meant to encourage fresh businesses to join Amazon, so they’re not extended to existing accounts.

Note that these incentives are applicable to sellers irrespective of the size of their brand.

When Would an Existing Seller Qualify?

There’s a possible workaround—expanding to a new marketplace where you’ve never sold before. If you start selling in a country where you haven’t had an active Amazon seller account, you might be considered “new” in that region and qualify for incentives.

If you’ve been selling on Amazon US but decide to launch your brand on Amazon UK for the first time, you could be eligible for new seller perks in that marketplace.

However, simply creating a second account in the same country where you already sell won’t make you eligible.

If you’re planning to expand internationally, it’s worth checking Amazon’s latest terms for each region to see if you can unlock incentives as a “new” seller in that marketplace.

Furthermore, if sellers haven’t utilized these incentives, they miss out on free FBA benefits, advertising credits, brand referral bonus boost, Amazon Vine enrollment credits, MCF fulfillment discount, inbound shipping credit.

Any unused bonus credits expire 12 months after you graduate from the program.

Conclusion

Amazon Seller Incentives are carefully designed plans that can help your business grow faster, save money, and make more money.  These benefits can really help your business, whether you’re a new seller just starting out or an experienced seller looking to expand into new areas.

Amazon’s incentive schemes are always changing, and we need to keep up.  There is free money and other great things coming your way if you don’t use these changes.  Do everything you can to make your Amazon business better. Join these programs if you can, and go after the deals.

There is a lot of competition to sell on Amazon, but you can even the odds by giving yourself the right rewards. So why not make the most of every benefit, make more money, and become smarter?
